Kaisa Leka is a Finnish comic artist and graphic designer living in a small town called Porvoo, near the sea. She love travel, vegan food, books and meditation.
Her comics have been published in several Finnish magazines, but her main passion is creating her own books.
Both her legs were amputated in 2002 because of a serious malformation. Prosthetic feet have given her a new freedom to enjoy life and exercise, and she has done several long bike trips that she says wouldn't have been possible with her old feet. she has chosen not to hide her prosthetic's as she feel that there's nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of.
She has done several long bike trips together with her partner Christoffer Leka. The trips started from a two-day excursion to a nearby village in Southern Finland and have expanded to 3000-kilometer journeys through Europe, occasionally also visiting other continents. Bike travel is for them a way of seeing new places, meeting new people and letting our thoughts soar free on the open roads....
